What Does an Equine Physiotherapy Session Look Like?
Discussion
Each session begins with a detailed discussion. Prior to your appointment, we may have had a phone consultation, or I would have provided you with a form and a 'pre-session questionnaire' to gather essential information about your horse and their history. This initial consultation will be more in-depth, while follow-up sessions will focus on any new information, updates and progress.
Treatment
Following the assessment, I will provide tailored treatment based on my assessment findings and any specific goals we have discussed. Each treatment plan is customised to address your horses unique needs.
Assessment
Next, I will conduct a comprehensive assessment, which includes gait analysis, palpation, and joint range of motion evaluation. This examination allows me to gain valuable insights into your horses' condition and overall well-being.
After Care
In most cases, I recommend your horse have 24 hours of rest to ensure the appropriate recovery and maximise the therapeutic effects of the treatment. After the session, you will receive a detailed write-up summarising the assessment findings and the treatment provided. I will also prepare a veterinary report to share with other professionals involved in your horses' care if required.

I encourage open communication and welcome any updates on your horses' progress or questions you may have following treatment. My primary goal is to ensure the highest level of care for you and your horse with ongoing support.
